I totally saw a flying squirrel on my window last night! >w< It was soooo cute. But it flew away before I could get a great look at it. Griffin said I should catch it and cosplay Fuu. XD I totally want to cosplay her anyway! It would be fun to have a kimono.

And my aunt is coming in from Minnesota on Friday, that will be fun, she's a really interesting person.

The district art show was last night, I had a few pieces in there, and I saw my old art teacher from grade school. It was cool.

I downloaded a bunch of Disney music the other day for no real reason.  I also want to watch some again, but all we have is Pixar movies. I think my sister borrowed Brother Bear from her friend, maybe I'll watch that...

There's a stupid new finals schedule that mixes up the days and gives us two study/review periods instead of open campus half the day. It's because of the stupid people who go and steal from Rite-Aid next door that we can't go home early. >:[

I wish dad would stop asking for me to loan him money. He bought an $100 bike for Olivia, which is coincidentally the amount of money he wanted. Yes, it's nice he bought a little girl her first bike, but honestly he can't afford it. Laura can buy her own damn kid a bike. My first bike was $10 from a yard sale, and I didn't care as long as it moved and the brakes worked.

Chapter 46 of Trinity Blood finally came out. And raws of 47 but I can't read Japanese. I have volume 10 coming in the mail any day...

Anywayy... We were going to go to Bar Harbor today, but my mom said it was too rainy even though it cleared up after an hour or so. I was annoyed about that, apparently she'd rather go grocery shopping at Wally world with John...

And she says she's going to sew my costume tomorrow... Yeah right. She'll get about halfway through and put it off at least another week. She doesn't really give a crap about it because she wasn't interested in the same stuff as me when she was a kid so I'm OMG WEIRD.

Oh well. 24 days is it?

Had a weird dream last night. It started out like the Dark Tower series when Roland finds his mother sleeping with the wizard. Only I think he killed the wizard, which didn't happen in the book. Then Ghenghis Kahn was fighting with his Mongolian hoard against the Trojans (the Greek ones) in my front yard, which incidentally had random castle ruins. They battled, and my sister and me would go back and forth between the leaders and pass messages and stuff. And the Mongolians left a lot of pottery shards behind after everyone disappeared. Then me and my sister were in the kitchen and she was eating my Poptarts, and I told her she couldn't eat them because they were mine and she got all huffy and gave them back, but then I felt bad and offered her one but she refused. And that was my dream.

To Do:
Find better face paint
Get makeup for scar
Get mom to sew the rest.
Attach mask to wig somehow.

I CAN'T GET THIS SONG OUT OF MY HEAD! NARRRRRRGHGHGHGH.....

Anyway...

I've realized that if I want to pursue a career in art/graphic design, then I have to practice. Buuuuuut, I have a giant black blob on my computer screen. I checked how much new screens were when it happened (little less than a year ago), and they were upwards of $150. I checked last night, and I can now get one for $50. Much better. If I sell my Redwall books, then I can get just under that. :) I do most of my art during the summer, because of the whole no homework/mom not at home to tell me to get off the damn computer thing. I love my tablet, but it's all dusty from being unused on my desk all year. T.T

I dyed my Nel wig. It looks great, although my hands are now green...

Things to do within the next month or so:

-Buy glow bracelets for the PortCon rave
-Get to JoAnns to buy fabric for my cosplay
-Get mom to make said cosplay
-Copy season 2 of House from Carl (preferably within the next week)
-Get new laptop screen
-Find someone to install said screen
-Organize the crap on my computer
-Sell books, sister's Kingdom Hearts stuff
-Give Beowulf/My Bloody Valentine 3D posters to somebody
-Finish watching Firefly (it's sitting right in front of the TV)
-Catch up on NCIS before the finale
-Get enough sleep
-Figure out when I'll be staying at my dad's house
-Apply to Pizza Gourmet for a summer job
-Watch bunches of anime since I have internetz.

No. Thousands of people die from the regular flu every year. So far there's been one in the U.S., and that kid came from Mexico.  I bought hand sanitizer, which you should use anyway, but that's it. I'm young and healthy.  But if anyone within the school district gets it (unlikely, only 3 confirmed cases in Maine), we get a week off of school and don't have to make it up in the summer.

Haha, I made that on Tuesday. I ordered a wig, it has yet to come.


And I got internet that's faster than dialup! Woohoo! But we still need a router so I can get on with my laptop. (Currently on our family PC)

I do. I need to stop looking for manga deals and save it for my Nel cosplay.  Yep, I'm going to PortCon as little Nel, because although I have older Nel's boobs, I don't have her flat stomach. Maybe next year.

It really was a sudden decision; wasn't planning to cosplay this year.  I know I procrastinated last year, and it still might be a little late but I'm gonna make her mask next week during break and my mom can help me with her clothes/sack/thing.

Haven't written for a few weeks... Let's see... My last day of work is May 2nd. Saw 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2 discs left of House season 2. Been reading Trigun, only have vol. 14 left.  5 pages away from the end of Watchmen.

Now I have to go find a reference pic for what Nel wears so my mom can make it.

Seriously, she will only watch/read anime/manga that's shiny and made with computers.  I turned on Cowboy Bebop this afternoon, and she turned away after 3 minutes because she said 'the animation is bad'. Well, sure, it's not flawless and smooth compared with like, say Chibi Vampire.  But I bet the little things like plot and character development of Bebop would kick that vampire's ass.

All of her manga is TokyoPop. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing; they do publish some good stuff. But their ratio of crap to actual good manga is a lot worse than viz/darkhorse/cmx/whatever else.

Actually, I actually doubt the sparklepire crap will actually make it to an anime.  I'd think SMeyer would be too obsessed with making it perfectly like she saw in her wet dream or not have them do it at all.

Got Trinity Blood vol. 1 in the mail today, still waiting on Hellsing vol. 1 and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for PS2

Won Trigun volumes 1-2 and Trigun Maximum 1-3 on eBay.

I'm happy! We finally installed the digital converter box at Mom's, and now we get Fox! Totally unexpected! Now I can watch Dollhouse and Terminator.  We also got the CW, but that network's mostly myspace crowd crap.

Worked again yesterday.  No mistakes! Yay!

Trinity Blood finally started getting scanlated again! I need me some Abel-kun. X3

Went to Molly's on Monday.  We went in the hot tub and watched the first disc and half of the second of Shogun.  Then her mom started yelling at her about being grounded from Grant because she failed two classes last semester.

Went to her house again on Wednesday.  We saw Coraline, very good except the damn 3D glasses on top of my own made my nose feel weird the whole movie.  Then we went for sushi and went home.

I reeeally don't want to go to school tomorrow. And I still have no idea what to do for my Personal Experience speech on wednesday. I'm only 16, I haven't had any life-changing experiences that I can talk about for 4 minutes. :P
